Improvement in the situation in the violence affected districts of Assam. (PTI)
Digital Desk, New Delhi. Mobile internet services were restored on Sunday after the law and order situation improved in violence-hit Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong districts of Assam.
The order of the Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department said that the mobile internet services which were suspended on December 23 have been restored with immediate effect. The law and order situation has returned to normal in both the districts.
The official said that strict security surveillance is going on in both the districts. Last week, two people were killed and over 170 injured during violence in parts of West Karbi Anglong district.
