Rescue operation launched after the fire in Arki, Solan. Awakening
Jagran Team, Arki (Solan). A heart-wrenching incident in the early hours of Monday in Arki town of Solan district of Himachal Pradesh has shocked everyone. One child has died in the fire, while some people are reported to be trapped inside. SDRF has been called for rescue operations. Relief and rescue work is going on at the spot.
A child named Priyansh died and two people were rescued. The injured are undergoing treatment at Civil Hospital Arki. It is being told that there was an old wooden house from which the spark erupted. After this, the situation worsened due to cylinder explosion and seven to eight houses were affected. Arki MLA Sanjay Awasthi is also keeping an eye on the rescue operations on the spot.
Fire vehicles were ordered from three places
Deputy Commissioner Solan Manmohan Sharma says that seven to eight houses have been hit by the fire. A massive fire broke out in the houses in the old bus stand Arki near UCO Bank around 3.45 pm. Fire vehicles from Shimla's Baluganj, Solan's Banalgi, Ambuja Cement Company reached the spot.
Fire went out of control due to cylinder explosion
The fire was so horrific that within no time there was chaos in the surrounding area. Cylinders in houses also exploded during the fire. Local people immediately informed the police and fire department. Fire brigade teams reached the spot and started efforts to control the fire.
Couldn't find out the reason for the fire
According to the administration, some people are still feared trapped in the fire. Considering the seriousness of the situation, NDRF is engaged in relief and rescue work. The cause of the fire has not been known yet.
