Father-in-law accuses son-in-law of committing murder (symbolic picture)
JNN, Udaipur. A case of brutal murder of a 65-year-old elderly woman and her 5-year-old grandson has come to light in Semari police station area of Salumber district of Rajasthan on Friday.
The attackers had attacked the legs of the deceased woman with a sharp weapon and removed her silver bangles. Deep wounds were found on the head, chest and stomach of both of them. No other item was stolen from the house, due to which the police believe it to be a case of personal rivalry.
There is tension in the area after this incident, due to which police from eight police stations are deployed in the village. The woman's husband Dhanna Meena has accused his absconding son-in-law Gangaram Meena of murder.
He says that Gangaram often used to fight and threaten his wife under the influence of alcohol. The family members are adamant on the demand for the arrest of the son-in-law and his father and have refused to give consent for the post-mortem until the arrest is made. Police is searching for the absconding son-in-law.
