When I stopped picking up the phone, I became suspicious.
According to relatives, Bhupendra had left the house on Thursday evening with cash worth Rs 12 lakh and asked him to pay it to someone. In the evening itself he bought some groceries for the house. He also had a conversation with his relatives but later did not respond to the phone. When his wife did not return home till late night, she called her brother-in-law Manoj and informed him.
On this Manoj went out to search. His office was open on the Lampur border near the village, but after not finding Bhupendra there, he reached another office at some distance built in the fields of Lampur village, where Bhupendra was found dead in the office premises. Blood was coming out from his head. After this, the matter was informed to other relatives and Narela police station.
Bhupendra lived together with everyone
On receiving the information, Narela police station, District Assistant Commissioner and District Deputy Commissioner of Police also reached the spot. Forensic team also came to the spot and investigated. On Friday, the police conducted the post-mortem and handed over the body to the relatives.
The last rites of Bhupendra alias Binu were performed in the village. Ravindra Pradhan and his relatives of the village say that Bhupendra had no enmity with anyone. Nor has the family ever had any enmity with anyone. Why would anyone kill Bhupendra, who cooperated with everyone, this question is troubling everyone.
At present there is no electricity at the place where Bhupendra's body was found. This office is in a deserted place. No one comes here after dark. No one lives in a private cricket academy located nearby.
