Due to this closure of the road, traffic on this route is at a standstill. Even walking has become difficult. Due to the working style of the department and the agency building the flyover, problems have arisen for the residents of Ishakchak. Due to traffic disruption, working people and school children have to travel through the dirty water of the drain. In such a situation, the possibility of disease spreading in the area cannot be ruled out.
Bholanath flyover is being constructed between Mirjanhat Shitala place and Bhikhanpur Gumti number three. To solve the problem of water logging, a drain has to be constructed on both sides between Shitala place and Bhikhanpur Gumti number three.
The agency stopped the construction of the drain at Ishakchak Pasitola at some distance. Due to this, dirty water started entering the houses and people closed the drain. Now the situation is that under the Baunsi railway bridge is filled with water. The road has been completely closed due to water logging. People's problems have increased.
Since the beginning of the construction, four engineers are monitoring this project under the direction of the Senior Project Engineer of Police Construction Corporation. The flyover is being constructed under his supervision. Even after this, the bridge construction is incomplete in two and a half years. Even the construction of the drain is incomplete. At the same time, mud has accumulated in the Bholanath railway underpass. Not only is vehicle movement stopped, pedestrians are also facing difficulties.
The flyover work was to be completed by June 20 last year. The department gave time to the contractor till 31st December. But during this period approximately 15 percent work has progressed. In such a situation, there is little hope of completing the project before 2028.
Gyan Chandra Das, Senior Project Engineer of Bridge Construction Corporation, says that as far as the drain has been constructed, there is no problem. Railways has taken out a drain from the side of the line. The drain was filled due to not cleaning the drain. When the water started overflowing and entering the houses, the local people closed the drain. Due to this the problem increased further. The railway bridge below was flooded. Dirty water from the drain started flowing on the road.
Poklane machine was installed on Saturday to solve the problem. But when the railway telephone wire was cut during cleaning, the railway officials stopped the work and the Poklane machine was confiscated. However, after the intervention of the district administration, Poklane was released in the evening. Now Railway officials have said that they will cooperate with the Bridge Construction Corporation in solving the problem of water logging.
When asked, he said that workers are being deployed as per the need. The agency has no shortage of construction materials and equipment. Due to lack of space, problems are also arising in the work. Instructions have been given to speed up the work.
Piling has been done between Bholanath and Baunsi railway bridge. Now the work of erecting the pillars will be started. Work is being done with the aim of completing the plan by this year. At the same time, work on the rail over bridge to be built on the Bhagalpur-Goradih road is also going on. He has claimed to complete the plan on the set target.
