Jagran correspondent, Baghpat. The construction of SP office, which has been going on in the Kotwali building for 28 years, will start in the Reserve Police Line this year. The parade ground will be built on the lines of the stadium. Cyber crime police station will also be built.
Not only this, 13 more storey buildings will be built for guest house and policemen. With this, police officers will not need to stay in PWD guest house. At the same time, policemen will be freed from living in rented houses. The process of their construction has started.
At the same time, efforts have also been started to tighten the noose on the criminals. Maximum six mafias in the state are from Baghpat district. Strict action will be taken against them. To enable strong defense in the court, security has been provided to the witnesses in the cases. The aim of the police is to put the mafia behind the bars.
35 percent policemen live in rented houses
There are more than two thousand policemen in Baghpat. About 35 percent of these policemen live in rented houses due to lack of government accommodation. The ASP himself lives in the Officers Colony near the Collectorate. Many policemen live with their families in Meerut, Ghaziabad or other districts.
They come to Baghpat for duty in the morning by bus or private vehicle and return home in the evening. Policemen are forced to spend more money and live in rented houses. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's government considering the housing of policemen as a big problem is making efforts to solve it.
Funds are being allocated for the construction of buildings one after the other. Building construction work is going on in every police station from the Reserve Police Line. Policemen will soon get relief from the housing problem.
Every type of accommodation, lift facility also available.
Houses of every type are being built in the Reserve Police Line. Policemen will be allotted residences on the basis of post. Lift facility has been provided so that the policemen do not face any problem in commuting to the residence.
Making Panchayat elections fair is a big challenge.
From the point of view of Panchayat elections, Baghpat is included in the category of sensitive districts in the state. There is often bloodshed here during elections. Even before the announcement of elections, disputes and electoral rivalries have started in the villages. Dharmendra Tomar, the village head of village Sirsali, has been murdered to remove him from the election.
In Biharipur village, shopkeeper Rishipal was murdered by village head Devpriya Chaudhary because he refused to support him in the upcoming elections.
In such a situation, conducting peaceful and fair elections is a big challenge for the police administration. For this the officers have started taking effective action. Continuous action is being taken against criminals and anti-social elements.
Our own people are becoming enemies, they are shedding blood.
In minor disputes, they are becoming enemies of their own people and are staining their hands with blood. Of the 50 murder incidents that took place last year, around 30 involved relatives or close ones. Police are not able to control these incidents. It is important that people act wisely and do not fight over minor disputes. Police should also take appropriate action on small incidents at police stations and posts, do not ignore them.
They also have hope-
A parade ground will be built in Reserve Police Line on the lines of SP office, cyber crime police station, guest house and stadium, the process of which has started. The mafia list of the state includes 61 criminals, out of which the maximum are six criminals from Baghpat. Effective advocacy is being done in the court to get everyone punished. The witnesses have been provided security. Panchayat elections will be conducted peacefully and fairly. -Suraj Kumar Rai, SP.
