Jagran correspondent, South Delhi. A speeding school bus hit a law student riding a bike on Thursday afternoon at Modi Mill flyover in New Friends Colony. The student died in the accident. After receiving information about the case, the New Friends Colony police station arrived and took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem. The police arrested the accused school bus driver Vijendra from the spot.

The police officer said that 24-year-old Humil was a resident of Kotla Mubarakpur along with his family. He was a third year LLB student at Chaudhary Charan Singh University. On Friday afternoon around 3:30 pm, Humble was going from his work on bike. Meanwhile, a school bus hit his bike on Modi Mill flyover.
School bus and bike both seized
He was seriously injured after the collision. On receiving information about the accident, the police reached the spot, from where the injured were admitted to the nearest hospital. Doctors declared Humble dead in the hospital. Police have kept the body safe in AIIMS mortuary for post-mortem. During the investigation, the police have seized both the school bus and the bike.
No witnesses came forward to the accident
Forensic and mechanical examination of the vehicles is being conducted so that the cause of the collision can be ascertained. At present no eyewitness to the accident has come forward, hence the police is trying to reconstruct the incident on the basis of positioning of the vehicles and technical evidence. Police officials say that further action will be taken based on the post-mortem report and investigation results. Detailed investigation of the case is going on.
