After the completion of doubling and electrification work on Mau-Khurhat 12 km railway section under Mau-Shahganj Doubling Project, Railway Safety Commissioner North East Circle Pranjiv Saxena successfully conducted the speed trial at maximum speed on Mau-Khurhat and Mau-Dullahpur railway sections by OMS special train.
With the trial, the way was cleared for the completion of this important project. Before the speed trial, the Commissioner of Railway Safety started inspection from Khurhat station.
He checked the clearance of interlocking system, signal and safety gear, relay room, VDU panel, points in the yard, level crossing gates, platform and foot over bridge.
After this, the Khurhat-Paligarh Halt-Mau railway section was inspected by motor trolley and the safety of track, ballast, overhead traction line, poles, bridges, underpasses and level crossing gates was checked.
