Jagran correspondent, Saharanpur. Unidentified stone crusher owners of Haryana did illegal mining of 14392 cubic meters in UP region near village Aslampur Bartha of Behat tehsil area. The administration woke up after the matter came into limelight. The team of police administration and mining department reached the spot to investigate. Mining Inspector Abhilash Choubey filed a case against unknown crusher owners.

The same thing happened once again; Tehsil administration, mining department and police kept watching. When the matter came under discussion, the joint investigation team arrived to measure the pits created by the crusher owners of Haryana through illegal mining in the UP region. Illegal mining was done by some crusher owners of Haryana from the UP border across the stream of Yamuna river near village Aslampur Bartha and transported on a large scale on their stone crushers.

When the video of the situation at the spot was shared on the internet media, the responsible departments became active. After this, a joint team of mining, revenue and police departments reached the spot. Measurement of pits dug by illegal miners using machines was started.

In the case, it has been told by the Mining Inspector that out of total three pits, one pit was dug to the depth of 1.2 in an area of ​​55994.4 square meters. Out of this, 6719.28 cubic metres, the second pit was of 5389.65 square metre. Out of this, 6467.58 cubic meters and the third pit was dug in an area of ​​1004.51 square meters. Out of this, 1205.412 cubic meters have been illegally mined.

Tire marks of the vehicles were found going towards Haryana. Investigation revealed that a total of 14392.28 cubic meters were illegally mined from UP region and transported to stone crushers of Haryana state. This has caused huge loss of revenue to the state government.

The special thing is that such cases have been filed earlier also but that happens only when the matter comes into limelight after illegal mining takes place on a large scale.
