The car driver tried to escape after the collision. During this time, the traffic personnel somehow saved his life by hanging on the bonnet of the car.
The accused driver kept dragging the traffic personnel by sitting on the bonnet of the car for about two kilometres. Due to which the traffic personnel also got injured. Its two-second video is spreading rapidly on the internet media. In which traffic personnel Gurmeet is seen lying on the bonnet. The speed of the car is also quite fast. On the complaint of the traffic personnel, Beta 2 Kotwali police is busy searching for the car driver.
Gurmeet Chaudhary is working as a constable in the traffic police. On Wednesday afternoon he was deployed at Peethri roundabout. Just then a red colored car was seen coming at high speed. To whom he signaled to stop. The speed of the car decreased slightly. As soon as Gurmeet moved towards the driver, he started the car.
Gurmeet saved his life by climbing on the bonnet of the car. Someone standing there made a video of it and circulated it on the internet media. Beta 2 police station in-charge Vinod Kumar said that a case has been registered on the basis of the complaint.
Nearby CCTV footage was scrutinized. The car and driver have been identified. The accused is a resident of a sector of the Kotwali area. Two teams have been formed to arrest him. The accused will be arrested soon and action will be taken.
