Street Sarathi App Launched In Patna, Vendors Will Get Legal And Scheme Related Information

Jagran correspondent, Patna. National Vendor Day was organized by the National Association of Street Vendors of India (NASVI) on Tuesday in the auditorium of Bihar Industry Association. Representatives of street vendors from all the districts of Bihar participated in the program. The inauguration was done by Mayor Sita Sahu, Lead Bank Manager Diwakar Jha, National Coordinator of NASVI Arvind Singh and National President Chandraprakash Singh.

At the end of the program, vendor leaders from 25 cities were honored with NASVI awards for their excellent work. Mayor Sita Sahu said that vending zones have been selected at many places in Patna and the process is going on in other areas also. The Municipal Corporation is working to organize all the vendors, so vendors should remain patient.

NASVI National Coordinator Arvind Singh said that departmental guidelines have been sent to the municipal bodies for the development of vending zones in all cities, which should be used properly. He informed about the Street Sarathi App launched by NASVI, through which vendors can get information related to vending law, government schemes and PM Swanidhi Yojana and can also apply for loan.

Meetings will be organized in all the districts and within a month the status report of Bihar will be prepared and published in the state level conference in March. Lead Bank Manager Diwakar Jha gave detailed information about PM Swanidhi, PM Jeevan Jyoti Yojana, PM Suraksha Bima Yojana and Atal Pension Yojana. He said that the facility of application is available in CSC center in every Panchayat and in all bank branches.

NASVI National President Chandraprakash Singh demanded programs like stopping harassment of vendors, regular meeting of TVC, formation of grievance redressal committee, development of vending zones, strengthening of Samriddhi program from PM Swanidhi, survey and COV renewal, entrepreneurship development program and street food festival.
