Under this, now PM Swanidhi Credit Card will also be given to the shopkeepers on the footpaths of the city. With the help of this card, small businessmen will be able to use up to Rs 30,000 in their business without guarantee and interest.
The maximum limit of this card is Rs 30 thousand. About 200 retailers in the district will soon get the benefits of this scheme. In this, more than 160 businessmen belong to Banka Municipal Council. Along with this, more than 30 businessmen of Nagar Panchayat Amarpur will also get the benefit of this scheme.
Small businessmen of Municipal Council Banka and Nagar Panchayat Amarpur will get maximum benefit.
City Mission Manager of DNULM, Ajit Kumar Singh said that under the Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana, the amount of the first installment has been given to around 1500 retailers in the district. The amount of the second installment has been given to about 200 small businessmen. Whereas some people have also received the amount of the third installment. At present, only those people who have returned the amount of first and second installment after taking it will be given Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Credit Card.
Businessmen who do not return the amount of first and second installment will not be able to get the benefit of this scheme at present. The City Mission Manager said that along with giving the benefits of this scheme to small businessmen, they are also being made self-reliant. In this, for the first time Rs 15 thousand is given as loan amount. After returning this money on time, a loan of Rs 25 thousand is given next time.
More than 1500 retailers
If we talk about the entire district, the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Samman Nidhi Yojana has been given to more than two thousand small businessmen. Out of these, more than 1300 are from Banka urban area while around 700 are from Nagar Panchayat Amarpur and 200 each from Nagar Panchayat Katoria and Baunsi. The first installment amount has been given to these people.
However, some businessmen have not been able to return till now after taking the first installment amount. Let us tell you that a fresh survey has been conducted to attract more and more retailers or other small businessmen. On the basis of the survey, the amount of first installment has been given to everyone at Rs 10,000 each.
Vending zone being built in the city
Vending zone is being constructed in Banka city. The first vending zone of the district is being built in the vegetable market located at Shivaji Chowk. About Rs 60 lakh will be spent on its construction. A target has been set to complete the work within six months. With the construction of the vending zone, vegetable vendors and other retailers can be shifted there.
Those small businessmen in urban areas who have taken the amount of first and second installment under the Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana and have also returned it. Now an initiative is being taken to give them PM Swanidhi Credit Card.
