Strict Guarding On Delhi's Borders On Republic Day, Search Operation At Malls And Railway Stations Also

Tight security arrangements in view of Republic Day in Delhi.

Jagran correspondent, South Delhi. In view of Republic Day, security arrangements have been tightened in the capital Delhi. Intensive checking of commercial and general vehicles is being done at all the borders entering the capital.

The people staying in hotels, lodges and shelters are being verified. Hotel and lodge operators are given necessary instructions to inform the nearest police station about any suspicious activity. Apart from this, search operations are also being conducted at public places, malls, parks, railway and bus stations.

Deputy Commissioners of Police of all the districts of Delhi have issued instructions to all the Assistant Police Commissioners and Police Station Heads to remain alert. Special police pickets have been made at Faridabad-Badarpur Border, Sarita Vihar-Kalindi Kunj Border, Gurugram-Delhi Border, Maharajpur Border near Anand Vihar etc. Paramilitary personnel have been deployed at all these pickets.

All the police station in-charges are regularly patrolling their respective areas. Commercial vehicles and Jugaad vehicles entering Delhi are being monitored. Beat officers are in touch with street vendors, rickshaw pullers and auto rickshaw pullers. Everyone is being asked to keep an eye on the suspects.
