Corporation's strictness on illegal vehicle parking on the road. photo awakening
Jagran correspondent, Bhagalpur. The corporation administration has decided to take strict action against those who park vehicles illegally on the roads of urban areas. On Monday, corporation's encroachment squad in-charge Jaiprakash Yadav and city manager Ali Asgar warned those parking vehicles on the road.
The team explained to the motorists to use the designated parking spots, such as Sandys Compound entrance, Kachari Chowk multi parking, Tilkamanjhi bus depot and station complex.
There is also a parking facility in the basement of the marketing complex. If the vehicles are not parked in the basement, the corporation team will confiscate them and heavy fines can also be imposed. Apart from this, action will also be taken against randomly parked autos and totos.
The team campaigned in Tilkamanjhi Chowk, Zeromile, Additional Bypass and Kachari Marg. A campaign was launched to spread awareness on the first day, while the action will be started from Tuesday.
The Municipal Corporation has not made adequate parking arrangements for the city residents. The footpaths of the wide roads are to be used for parking, for which the contract was also to be awarded. The corporation had already identified seven routes, but the plan has not been implemented yet.
The tender for vehicle parking at Tilkamanjhi Bus Depot premises has been issued recently. The residents of the city demand that the corporation should first organize the parking and then take action.
