Digital Desk, Muzaffarpur. Teachers leave policy Bihar: Even after the recruitment of about two lakh 70 thousand new teachers by Bihar Public Service Commission, the education system in many schools is derailed. After receiving a complaint during inspection, an order has now been issued to repair it.
To avoid disruption in the education system of government schools, the District Education Officer (DEO) has issued strict guidelines regarding leave of teachers.
It has been said that now in schools, casual or special leave will not be granted to more teachers than the prescribed limit in a day. Action will be taken against violation.
In the order issued by the DEO office, it has been said that complaints were being received continuously that teaching in schools is being affected due to more teachers going on leave at the same time. Taking this seriously, a new system of leave approval has been implemented.
According to the order, only a maximum of one teacher will be given leave in a day in primary schools. Principals of middle and higher secondary schools can approve leave of maximum two teachers in a day. If special circumstances arise and the need to grant more leave than the prescribed limit is felt, it has been made mandatory for the Principal or Block Education Officer to take prior approval from the District Program Officer (Establishment).
It has also been made clear in the instructions issued that no teacher will be allowed to remain absent from school without leave approval. It has been made mandatory to submit the application a day in advance.
Arrangements have also been made for casual leave. For this, one can leave for leave only after giving information to the competent authority through phone or WhatsApp.
Limit has also been set regarding special casual leave. No teacher will get more than two days of special casual leave in a month. Also, casual leave will not be allowed to be taken by combining it with sabbatical leave i.e. summer and winter leave.
It has also been said in the order that it will be the responsibility of the headmaster to maintain separate entries of casual leave. If any violation of rules is found, disciplinary action will be taken against the concerned headmaster or teacher.
The DEO has instructed all the head teachers and block education officers to ensure that the order is followed in letter and spirit. The district administration believes that this decision will ensure regular presence of teachers in schools and will have a positive impact on the education of students.
Efforts are being made by the government and the department to ensure that the impact of systemic lapses in any form is not seen on the education of children. All efforts are being made in this direction.
