Committed suicide by jumping from the building.

Jagran correspondent, Jaipur. A 19-year-old college student committed suicide by jumping from the 12th floor of an under-construction building in Jaipur's Bagru area on Saturday after he was caught allegedly cheating in an exam, under stress. The deceased has been identified as Priyanshu Raj. He was a resident of Patna and a first year computer science student at Manipal University. He was living in college hostel.

Police Station Officer Rajendra Kumar Godara said that the student's answer sheet and notes were confiscated when he was caught cheating during the examination, after which he was under mental stress. After this he hired a scooter and reached an under-construction building located about five kilometers from the college.

According to the police, the student had kept his bag and mobile near the wall on the 12th floor before jumping. The workers working on the building informed the police after hearing the sound of the collapse. The student was taken to the health center in critical condition, where doctors declared him dead.

During the search, police recovered the student's bag and mobile from the 12th floor. Poison and a bottle of water along with identity documents were also found in the bag.
