Sports Desk, New Delhi. The India-Pakistan match in T20 World Cup 2026 is now over. Team India had defeated Pakistan by 61 runs in a one-sided match, thanks to the stormy innings of Ishan Kishan. Even though the match took place on Sunday night, it is still being discussed. There was a lot of talk about Pakistani spinner Usman Tariq before the match to be held at Premadasa Stadium.
Now Pakistan's match with Namibia
After the defeat, Usman Tariq said on Tuesday that the team can recover from the crushing defeat suffered by India in the T20 World Cup and secure a place in the next phase of the tournament. After the defeat by India, now if Pakistan wants to reach Super-8, then it will have to defeat Namibia at any cost on Wednesday. Another defeat could take Pakistan out of the tournament.

Tariq told reporters, "It is difficult to boost the morale of the team only when you do not work on the mistakes made in the last match. We have worked on our mistakes, so I think it will not be a difficult task. We are determined that we will not repeat the same mistakes again. We can understand the disappointment of the fans because the entire country is watching this match."

Tariq said, "We understand the pain of the fans, but I am sure that next time we play India, we will perform better." He also dismissed speculations about Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi being dropped from the match against Namibia. Both have disappointed with their performance.
Tariq said, "Both Azam and Shaheen have won many matches for Pakistan, so if they do not perform well in a match then we should not consider them useless. Whoever we play, we are confident of defeating them and our aim is to play the final and win the cup. For this we will try our best."
