Jagran correspondent, Gurugram. 11 students of class 10th of Educrust International School, located near Dhankot Railway Station, Sector-9, were deprived of the first paper of the board examination due to non-issuance of admit cards. As soon as this matter came to light, there was anger among the parents and they demanded immediate intervention from the administration.
According to the information, a total of 24 students of class 10th are registered in the school. Of these, admit cards of 11 students were not issued, while the remaining students took the examination. Parents allege that the school management had earlier assured them that all the admit cards had been issued and would be sent to their homes. But late in the evening, the school sent a WhatsApp message informing that the admit cards of the concerned students had not been issued. The message also said that students will be able to appear for the upcoming exams, although the first paper will be missed.
Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the parents remained outside the Deputy Commissioner's residence till late night. Parent Virendra Kumar said that this is the children's first board exam and due to the negligence of the school, they missed an important paper. He has demanded the administration to re-conduct the missed examinations and take action against the guilty officials.
The parents have also submitted a written complaint to District Elementary Education Officer Saraj Dahiya. Administrative officials confirmed receipt of the complaint and assured investigation into the matter and appropriate action. At present the students and their parents are in a state of confusion.
