Governor honored NCC cadets who participated in Republic Day Camp and Veer Birsa Munda Cyclothon.

State Bureau, Ranchi. Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar honored the NCC cadets representing Jharkhand in the 'Republic Day Camp-2026' organized in Delhi on January 26 and the NCC participants of 'Veer Birsa Munda Cyclothon' in the 'At Home' program organized at Lok Bhawan on Tuesday.
On this occasion, he said that it is a matter of great pride and honor to represent the state in the Republic Day camp. ‘Veer Birsa Munda Cyclothon’, organized on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda, was an inspiring event promoting patriotism, fitness and social awareness among the youth. He said that NCC is not just an organization but a school of discipline, leadership, service and patriotism. It builds character, develops a sense of duty and social responsibility among the youth.
The Governor said that NCC is the largest youth organization in the world, which presents a strong example of 'unity in diversity'. Referring to his student life, he said that he himself has been an NCC cadet. Apart from parades and camps, NCC cadets also play a leading role in discharging social responsibilities. His active participation in works like blood donation, tree plantation, cleanliness campaign, environment protection and disaster management is highly commendable.
Today, a large number of daughters are also joining NCC and setting an example of leadership and discipline, which is a symbol of women empowerment. He congratulated all the cadets and participants and wished them good luck for their bright future.
On this occasion, the Governor also provided an incentive amount of Rs 10,000 each to the participants of 'Veer Birsa Munda Cyclothon'. This event was organized by NCC Directorate Bihar, Jharkhand on 15th November last year on the occasion of Birsa Jayanti, in which a cycle rally was taken out from Ranchi to Delhi.
