Sub Inspector Bharat Dahiya has been arrested for taking a bribe of ten thousand rupees.

Jagran correspondent, New Delhi. The Vigilance Unit of Delhi Police has arrested Sub Inspector Bharat Dahiya posted at Prem Nagar police station in Rohini district on charges of taking a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a person resident of Govindpuram, Ghaziabad. He was arrested as part of a campaign against corrupt policemen on the instructions of Police Commissioner Satish Golcha.

DCP Vigilance Vishnu Kumar says that a few days ago, a person contacted the Vigilance Unit and alleged that a sub-inspector named Bharat Dahiya posted at Prem Nagar police station was demanding bribe to prepare a bail report in his favor in a case related to his mother.

He also alleged that he was being threatened to give Rs 10 thousand as the first installment of Rs 50 thousand. Whose audio record is present with him. It was also threatened that if Rs 50,000 was not given, the family would be implicated in additional cases.

Investigating the complaint, the Vigilance Unit raided Prem Nagar police station on Tuesday evening and arrested Bharat Dahiya. A bribe amount of Rs 10 was recovered from him. A case has been registered against him under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act. After presenting him in the court, he has been sent.
