Jagran correspondent, Gorakhpur. With the beginning of January the cold weather has taken a new form. The maximum temperature has increased during the day due to sunlight. The minimum temperature has dropped with the help of cold westerly wind. In such a situation, there is relief from cold during the day but the melting is increasing as the evening approaches.

This is evidenced by the maximum temperature rising by five and a half degrees Celsius in just two days and the minimum temperature falling between five and six degrees Celsius. According to meteorologist Kailash Pandey, a western disturbance will soon become active, due to which the effect of fog will increase and the maximum temperature will fall once again.

Meteorologist said that at this time the speed of westerly wind in the upper atmosphere has increased. Due to this the fog in the atmosphere is disintegrating. In such a situation, the obstruction to sunlight is ending. The maximum temperature is increasing due to the heat of the sun.

The maximum temperature recorded on Friday was 21 degrees Celsius. On the contrary, as the evening approaches, the same westerly wind is carrying the cold of the north-west mountains to eastern Uttar Pradesh and the melting is increasing at night.
