Superfast Status Of 12 Trains Will End From March, Direct Impact On Trains Running Through Muzaffarpur

Digital Desk, Muzaffarpur. Superfast Train Status Change: There is going to be a big change for railway passengers from the month of March. Superfast status will be withdrawn from a total of 12 trains including Anand Vihar-New Jalpaiguri (Anand Vihar-NJP), connecting North Bihar and Delhi via Muzaffarpur. These trains will now be operated in express category instead of superfast.

This change in the category of trains has been made by East Central Railway after operational review. With the removal of superfast status, there will be changes in the fares, numbering and timetable of these trains. This will have a direct impact on the travelers of North Bihar including Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Darbhanga.

Superfast tag will be removed from 12 trains including Anand Vihar-NJP

According to railway sources, among the 12 trains from which superfast status is being snatched, Anand Vihar-New Jalpaiguri Express is the main one. This train is considered important for the passengers going from North Bihar to Delhi and a large number of passengers travel by it every day.

After being out of the superfast category, these trains will now be operated as normal express trains.

There will be changes in numbers and time table

According to railway officials, along with changing the category of trains, their numbers will also be amended. Trains will be given new numbers according to the new category. Along with this, partial changes in stoppages and time tables at stations are also possible.

There will be relief in rent

After the removal of superfast status, passengers will not have to pay superfast charge. This will lead to partial reduction in fares of various categories. Railways believes that this will provide financial relief to passengers, especially those traveling long distances.

Fear of increase in travel time

However, removal of the superfast tag may reduce the average speed of trains. There is a possibility of increase in travel time due to additional stops at some stations. Due to this, regular passengers may have to change their travel plans.

The decision will be implemented from March

According to the plan of Railways, this change will be implemented from March. The new timetable, numbers and fare information of the concerned trains will be released on the official website of the Railways and on the station information board. The Railway Administration has appealed to the passengers to check the updated status of their train before travelling, so that any kind of inconvenience can be avoided.
