Suspicious death of a minor in Ludhiana. file photo
Samvad Sahayak, Ludhiana. A minor girl died under suspicious circumstances in Salem Tabri area. It is being told that there were injury marks on his neck and at some other places. On the other hand, the police say that he has committed suicide by hanging himself.
The deceased has been identified as 17-year-old Sahrita Khatoon, resident of Kasabad. Police of Salem Tabri police station reached the spot, started action and got the body kept in the mortuary of Civil Hospital for post-mortem.
ASI Harmesh Lal told that Sahrita Khatoon has five brothers and three sisters. She was the youngest among them. She started feeling mentally disturbed due to her mother's illness. He was also undergoing treatment.
He told that his mother's health suddenly deteriorated late on Sunday night. His brother took his mother to the hospital for treatment. After his departure, his father and he were present at home. When the family returned home from the hospital, Sahrita Khatoon's body was found hanging.
According to sources, there were injury marks on his neck, hands and eyes. The police say that the post-mortem of the body will be conducted on Tuesday. The real cause of death will be known only after its report comes.
