Bangladesh announced World Cup team
Sports Desk, New Delhi. Amidst the uproar after the expulsion of Mustafizur Rahman from the IPL, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Sunday announced its team for the T20 World Cup-2026 starting next month. Rahman's name is in this team and he will try to give his best performance this time.
The command of the team has been handed over to experienced batsman and wicketkeeper Liton Das. Bangladesh has not yet played the semi-finals of the World Cup in this format and this time the team will have to try to change history. The World Cup is to be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka where the conditions are almost similar to Bangladesh. In such a situation, this team cannot be taken lightly.
Responsibility will be on these players
Apart from captain Liton Das, the highest expectations in batting will be on Tanjeed Hasan and Parvez Hussain Emon. If Bangladesh has to do well in this World Cup, then it is very important for these three to bat. As far as bowling is concerned, Rahman will play an important role in it. Apart from him, Taskin Ahmed will also have a big responsibility. Spinners can be seen in great form in this World Cup because the pitches in both India and Sri Lanka are favorable for spinners. In such a situation, the role of spinners in the team will be very important.
At present there is an atmosphere against Bangladesh in India and that is why Rahman has been dropped from the IPL. In view of this, BCB is planning to appeal to ICC to shift its matches to Sri Lanka. BCB believes that if it is difficult for a contracted player to play in India, then the environment will be very unsafe for its entire team. For this, BCB will present its application before ICC Chairman Jai Shah.
