Police caught him from his house in Batamaloo.

State Bureau, Srinagar. The Anti Narcotics Force of Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested Tamanna Ashraf, who was absconding for three years, from one of her hideouts on Friday. Tamanna was running a network of smuggling of illegal drugs across the country by misusing courier services.

Tamanna Ashraf, a resident of Batmaloo, Srinagar, used to smuggle hashish and ganja from Kashmir to different parts of the country including Mumbai. She used to deliver the drugs to her other gang members and customers in different parts of the country through courier services to avoid the police and other agencies.

In the year 2022, the police intercepted a consignment of seven kilos of hashish being sent by him to Mumbai through courier in Jammu. When the police started investigation, it was found that this consignment was connected to the same network about which information was received, but no other information was available.

Tamanna was absconding since the year 2022

Before the police could reach Tamanna Ashraf, she absconded. There are cases registered against him for smuggling of illegal drugs in other parts of the country also.

Police spokesperson said that the police and anti-narcotics force were making continuous efforts to arrest Tamanna Ashraf. All his possible hideouts were being raided as soon as the information was received. His close relatives were also being monitored.

Two days ago it was revealed that she had been seen at her house in Batamaloo. Based on this, the Anti Narcotics Force deployed a team of its informers around her house and last Thursday evening, when they confirmed the presence of Tamanna Ashraf in her house, the Anti Narcotics Force raided the house and caught her.
