In Gurugram, miscreants looted lakhs at gunpoint.
Jagran correspondent, Gurugram. Masked robbers of Palam Vihar police station area entered the teacher's house and looted it at gunpoint. Three miscreants held the teacher and his elderly mother hostage and looted cash and jewellery, but due to panic the family went to the police station the next day and lodged a complaint.
In the complaint given to the police, the victim teacher Nitish Grover, resident of Sector-23, said that on the night of 6/7 February, three masked miscreants entered the house through the window. The miscreants had sticks and rods in their hands, with which the mother and son were taken hostage by threatening their lives. During this time, the wife and son sleeping on the first floor did not feel any sound. After searching the cupboard and other places, the miscreants fled with about Rs 1 lakh in cash and gold and silver jewellery.
The entire family remained frightened after the incident, due to which the police could not be informed immediately. The next day the victim informed the Palam Vihar police station. According to ACP Udyog Vihar Manjeet, at present the identity of the accused and their escape routes are being investigated on the basis of CCTV footage. The accused will be arrested soon.
