The Forest Department team reached the spot and searched, but could not find any concrete information about the leopard. Regional Sub Inspector of Forest Department, Rahul Kumar Balwant along with the villagers and his team patrolled Ramna village on Friday night, but no trace of the leopard was found.
Leopard claw marks were found at the place indicated by the villagers, samples of which were taken for testing. Sub Inspector Balwant said that only after the report taken by the expert team comes, it will be clear which animal it actually was. Village head representative Amit Patel informed that a youth of the village was returning after selling milk, when he saw a leopard-like animal running fast. After this incident, an atmosphere of fear has arisen among the villagers.
