Jagran correspondent, Ranchi. Sushant Gupta, who runs ENA/Ethanol business in Balasering of Tupudana area, has filed a complaint against a person named Rahul Singh for demanding Rs 2 crore and threatening to kill him.
Sushant Gupta told that he received a WhatsApp call in which a person introducing himself as Rahul Singh demanded Rs 2 crore from him because he was doing business in Jharkhand. Sushant Gupta said that he did not recognize the accused and disconnected the call.
After this the accused made several WhatsApp calls and threatened through voice messages. It said that if the amount was not given within two days, their lives would be harmed.
Sushant Gupta further told that when the accused again called on WhatsApp, Sushant recorded the call. After this, Rahul Singh also sent two videos, which showed the scene of his gang members opening fire at the house of a businessman after he refused to pay the ransom.
Police say that a case has been filed. The case is being investigated. Police is extracting the details of the number from which extortion has been demanded.
