Jagran correspondent, outer Delhi. In the Swarup Nagar police station area of Outer Delhi on Sunday night, miscreants cut an ATM machine of Axis Bank with a gas cutter and crossed Rs 20 lakh. The miscreants ran away after committing the crime. Police have registered a case of theft and are searching for the accused.
The police is trying to identify the miscreants from the CCTV footage installed in the ATM. Police claims that they will soon catch the miscreants.
On Monday morning, Swaroop Nagar police station received information about tampering and withdrawal of money from the Axis Bank ATM in Natthupura Market. Police reached the spot. The bank officer and the van carrying the money were standing there.
At the same time, investigation revealed that miscreants had cut the ATM with a gas cutter late at night and taken away the money. Police investigation found that the miscreant who carried out the incident committed the crime after spraying the CCTV camera installed in the ATM booth.
The footage of CCTV cameras revealed that the accused committed the crime on Sunday night. Masked miscreants are visible in the footage.
Police called crime and forensic team to the spot. The team collected evidence from there. The police officer said that investigation revealed that the miscreants stole Rs 20 lakh by cutting an ATM machine of Axis Bank with a gas cutter.
