Jagran correspondent, Greater Noida. The criminal and his two associates, who lured and raped a minor, have been arrested by the Beta Do Kotwali police from Banwasa in Uttarakhand. The accused were preparing to flee to Nepal with the victim. The police recovered the victim from the clutches of the accused, got her medically examined and handed her over to her relatives.
Inspector in-charge Vinod Kumar said that the minor victim and the accused child molester previously studied together in a college in Greater Noida. It was here that both of them got to know each other. In the year 2025, the child molester started studying in Meerut.
Even during this period the conversation between the two continued. A few days ago, the minor's relative had filed a case of luring against the child molester. On the instructions of higher officials, a team was deployed to recover the minor.
It was revealed that the couple Komesh Kumar and Sonali, residents of Shiv Nagar Colony under Secunderabad in Bulandshahr, had also helped in luring the minor by the child molester. Everyone booked a cab from Meerut and reached the hotel in Dehradun. Here the child molester raped the minor.
The accused were aware that they were being searched by the police. Due to this he reached Banbasa in Uttarakhand. There were preparations to flee from here to Nepal. With the help of surveillance and CCTV footage, the police team recovered the minor in Banbasa itself and arrested the accused. Told that a case has been registered against the accused. The child molester has been sent to a communication home and the couple to jail.
