The police were stunned as soon as they opened the trunk of the car.

Jagran correspondent, Sikandarpur (Ballia). The police took prompt action and achieved a major success on the night of Monday-Tuesday near Bichchiboj Canal in the local police station area. Police broke the trunk of a car and safely pulled out a 55-year-old woman trapped inside it. The condition of the woman was extremely frightened and pitiful at that time.

According to the information, Nitish Ram, resident of Uchrao village of the police station area, reached Sikanderpur police station at around 2 o'clock on Monday night and informed the police that his aunt had received a call on his mobile, in which she told that she is locked in a vehicle and has been kept at an unknown place.

As soon as the information was received, the police became active and traced the possible location of the woman on the basis of mobile location. When the police team reached the mentioned place near Bichhiboj Canal, they found a car parked there, with no one present around it. Meanwhile, a woman's voice was heard from the trunk of the car.

Seeing the seriousness of the situation, the policemen immediately informed the station in-charge Chandrashekhar Yadav. On his instructions, the second mobile team was sent to the spot under the leadership of ASI Ram Sakal Yadav.

Despite many efforts, the trunk of the car could not be opened, after which a mechanic was called in the night itself and the trunk was broken. As soon as the trunk was opened, a woman was found inside crying and in a very nervous state. Showing promptness, the police immediately took the woman to the Community Health Center Sikandarpur, where she was treated.

The police took the car owner into custody in the night itself. During interrogation, the car owner told that a young man, who is a bus driver by profession, had taken his car on the pretext of getting it washed.

On his information, the police have also detained the bus owner, although the main accused and the bike rider are still out of the reach of the police.

The victim woman told the police that she had gone to Unchwar to meet her mother after receiving information about her ill health. The same day, while returning home on foot, two youths riding a bike stopped him and asked him to leave.

The accused took him further and made him smell something, after which he does not remember anything. When he regained consciousness, he found himself locked in the trunk of the car. Somehow, using his small mobile, he called his nephew Nitish and asked for help.

In this regard, police station in-charge Chandrashekhar Yadav said that as soon as the information was received, the police took immediate action and freed the woman safely. The entire matter is being thoroughly investigated from every angle including the kidnapping.

Car owner Salman Khan and bus owner Taufiq Khan alias Bhuwar are being detained and interrogated. The criminal history of the accused is being investigated and legal action is being taken.
