In Tamil Nadu, sons got their father bitten by a snake for insurance.

Digital Desk, New Delhi. A surprising case has come to light from Tiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu. Here, the case of death of a person due to snake bite has now turned out to be a murder case. It is alleged that the victim's own sons had hatched this conspiracy to get huge life insurance money.

How was the entire murder conspiracy hatched?

EP Ganesan, 56, was a lab assistant in a government school. He was found dead at his home in Potthurpettai village in October this year. The family had said that he died due to snake bite. Initially the police considered the death an accident and registered a case.

Insurance company expressed doubt

In this case, later while processing the insurance claim, an insurance agent raised doubts over the circumstances of death. The company cited several big policies taken in the name of Ganesan and the behavior of the nominee. The insurance company alerted North Zone Inspector General of Police Asra Garg (IPS), after which an in-depth investigation into the matter began.

The sons had conspired to kill their father

According to Tiruvallur Superintendent of Police Vivekananda Shukla, 'The sons had got their father insured for about Rs 3 crore.' According to investigators, the sons hatched a murder conspiracy to make their father's death appear to be a snakebite accident and took the help of some people to arrange poisonous snakes for it.

How was the incident carried out?

An attempt was also made about a week before the murder. At that time a cobra was arranged and it was bitten on the leg of the victim. However, this plan failed as the snake's bite did not prove fatal.

The conspirators carried forward the plan with a firm intention to commit the crime. Early in the morning on the day of the crime, a very poisonous krait snake was brought into the house and the victim was deliberately bitten on the neck.

Six people including Ganesh's two sons have been arrested in this case. All of them had collected the necessary materials to carry out the crime. Further investigation is ongoing.
