50 thousand rupees reward in the custody of STF
Jagran correspondent, Prayagraj. Dhirendra Kumar Gupta, who was absconding for the last one year and had a reward of Rs 50,000, has finally been caught by the Special Task Force (STF). He was wanted from Sayyadaraja police station in Chandauli district. Accused Dhirendra is a resident of Faizullapur Hetapatti village of Tharavai police station area. He had rented his vehicle to cattle smugglers, due to which his name was added in the case against him.
It has been told that a team was formed by Shailesh Pratap Singh of STF to arrest the wanted and declared criminals. During this time, we came to know about the accused carrying the reward. Then, under the leadership of STF Inspector JP Rai, the team of Inspector Gulzar Singh, Head Constable Prabhanjan Pandey, Ajay Singh Yadav, Sonu Yadav, Uday Pratap Singh and Akhand Pratap laid siege near Hetapatti on Wednesday and caught the accused Dhirendra.
STF Inspector said that during interrogation it has been revealed that Dhirendra, a resident of Tharvai, owns a vehicle which he drives on rent. A year ago, cattle trader Roopchandra Yadav, resident of Tharwai, hired a vehicle and then loaded the cattle in it and was taking it to West Bengal.
The police of Sayyadaraja police station in Chandauli surrounded and caught the vehicle and then registered a case. During investigation, the name of vehicle Dhirendra came up, for whose arrest a reward was announced.
