Dialogue partner, Chandausi. The court has sentenced a husband found guilty of murdering his wife for dowry to 13 years of imprisonment. Besides, a fine of Rs 10 thousand has also been imposed. This incident of dowry death took place in Sambhal Kotwali area in the year 2020. On February 12, the court had reserved its verdict after finding the aunt and husband of the deceased guilty in the said case. Aunty Firdaus was convicted in this case on February 13, while a non-bailable warrant (NBW) was issued due to her husband Farman's absence in the court.
On Tuesday the police presented him in the court. Here he was jailed for 13 years. Mahrul, a resident of Dehli Darwaza, Sambhal, had accused sister-in-law Firdaus and her nephew Farman, a resident of Hasanpur, of killing his daughter Mehak for dowry. He told that Mehak had a love marriage with Farman.
Just three months later, Farman threw her out of the house for not bringing Rs 2 lakh in dowry. After this, Mehak started living with her aunt Firdaus in Dehli Darwaza. In the year 2020, on the night of 13/14 June, Firdaus and Farman murdered Mehak by pressing her with a scarf. After this Firdaus gave an application to the police to mislead.
In this, the blame of Mehak's murder was placed on her parents. It was said that her parents were not happy with Mehak's love marriage. On which the police registered a case. Later an application was given on behalf of Mehak's mother Mehrul. In which he said that Firdaus is his sister-in-law. She has a rivalry regarding the division of the house. He had arranged a love marriage for his daughter Mehak with his nephew Farman.
After this she murdered for dowry. When the police investigated the entire episode, the whole secret was revealed. Here Farman had told about himself being in Hasanpur on the day of the incident, whereas from his call details and location, evidence was found that he was in the house of Sambhal and Firdaus. After this, when the police took both of them into custody and interrogated them, the whole secret came out.
Both of them confessed to killing Mehak by strangulation. After this the police sent both of them to jail. Also, charge sheet was filed against both of them. Assistant District Government Advocate Criminal Hariom Prakash alias Harish Saini said that the hearing of this case was going on in the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Awadhesh Kumar.
On Thursday, after hearing both the sides, the court had convicted Farman and Firdaus. On Friday, the court had sentenced Firdaus to ten years of imprisonment in this case. Whereas warrants were issued against the order. On Tuesday the police presented him in the court.
Here the court sentenced him to thirteen years' imprisonment for the murder of his wife. Also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000. Rajaram Sagar, in-charge of the monitoring cell, said that court advocate constable Sumit Saini and court clerk head constable Vinod Kumar Rathore have played an important role in this case.
