A consultant agency has been selected by the authority to prepare the DPR and layout, which will prepare the presentation of DPR and layout of 100 hectares of land in the first phase based on the suggestions of the officials.

GDA has expedited the process regarding the development of new township Haranandipuram. The consulting agency preparing the DPR and layout will give a presentation before the GDA on January 7. During this period, rough draft of DPR and layout for about 100 hectares of land will be presented.

Along with this, preliminary drafts of roads, sewers, water supply, electricity, green areas and other infrastructure facilities will be included. After the presentation, GDA will approve the final DPR by giving necessary suggestions. After this the development work of the township will proceed.

Land will be purchased from farmers of eight villages

Haranandipuram Township will be developed over an area of ​​521 hectares in two phases. Land of eight villages will be purchased from farmers, in which the township will be developed on 350 hectares of land of five villages for the first phase.

GDA has so far got the deed of about 55 hectares of land done, while agreement has been reached with the farmers on 115 hectares of land, which will be deed of land soon. The authority has also started preparations to launch the first phase of the scheme.

The complete outline for developing the 100 hectare area will be laid out in the presentation given by the agency on January 7. After this the agency will prepare the DPR and layout, which will also include the design of the infrastructure.

Modern facilities will be available along with residential and commercial plots

Under the DPR, locations for drainage systems, wide roads, greenery areas, residential and commercial plots, health services, educational and social facilities will be identified in the township. Better and accessible facilities will be provided pocket wise to the entire scheme.

Rs 1200 crore will be spent on purchasing land for the scheme in the coming financial year. Out of this, Rs 400 crore has been received from the government under the Chief Minister Urban Expansion Scheme, while Rs 800 crore will be spent by the GDA itself.

An agency has been decided to develop Haranandipuram. After the presentation on January 7, the DPR and layout of the first phase will be prepared. Preparations are being made for this.
