Jagran correspondent, Bareilly. Following the instructions of Rohilkhand University, Bareilly College has intensified the preparations for NAAC assessment. Principal Prof. OP Rai has instructed the coordinator of the NAAC evaluation committee to conduct the evaluation by next December under any circumstances. For this, first of all there is a preparation to complete the construction works as soon as possible, because due to incomplete construction works, the evaluation will be affected and the grading will be affected. There will be a meeting of the NAAC evaluation committee soon after January 20, in which further preparations will be discussed.
On November 6, 2025, the government had instructed all the universities that it is mandatory for all affiliated colleges to get NAAC evaluation and recognition. In this regard, Rohilkhand University Registrar Harish Chand had issued instructions to all the affiliated colleges on December 18, but a large number of colleges did not inform the university.
On this, the Registrar once again gave instructions to the colleges on January 13. Under this, colleges have been instructed to provide details of registration and application on NAAC portal, formation and activation of IQAC, self study report and necessary forms by January 31. Following the instructions of the Registrar, Bareilly College has started preparations for NAAC assessment.
Principal Prof. OP Rai, Coordinator of NAAC Evaluation Committee, Prof. Instructed Vandana Sharma to get the NAAC evaluation done by December at all costs. If possible, it should be done by October or November only. He said that the college's preparation in academics and research is good. There are about 250 teachers along with 70 professors in the college. Apart from this, data of students and teachers is available in digital medium on Samarth portal.
The process of promotion of teachers is also going digital. Proposals for two national seminars on research have been approved. This is expected to get good marks in the assessment. At the same time, the work of repairing the roofs of old buildings has also been almost completed. The auditorium is being renovated and construction work is also going on in the mathematics department, they should be completed soon.
Apart from this, new buildings for the departments of Home Science, Psychology and Sports will be built. Apart from this, the building of the Law Department will be shifted to the building behind the new examination hall. Apart from this, admission cell will be formed. He instructed that registration should be done for NAAC assessment.
All the buildings of the college will be red colored
For NAAC assessment, new buildings are being constructed in Bareilly College and many old buildings are being repaired. During this, full care is being taken of the historicity and identity of the college. The main identity of the college is the red color of its building and buildings.
This is the reason why the Principal has also started preparations for painting all the buildings. Under this, the color of all buildings will be kept red. If an old building is painted in white or other colour, it will also be painted in red.
Preparations for NAAC evaluation are underway. A meeting of the NAAC evaluation committee will be called next week so that further work can be started with the registration process.
