The court has found the accused guilty and sentenced them to life imprisonment in two separate cases of murder in Bithri Chainpur and Bhamora police station areas. The court has also imposed fine on the culprits in both the cases. The Sessions Court found Shankar Lal alias Harishankar guilty of murder and destruction of evidence and sentenced him to life imprisonment in the case of murder of a finance company employee about six years ago in Bithri Chainpur police station area.
According to the prosecution, a village resident of Binawar police station of Badaun had lodged a report in Bithri Chainpur police station that his elder brother Munish was an auditor in Mannapuram Gold Finance Company. His brother had illicit relations with Shankar Lal's wife. Because of this, Shankar Lal had threatened to kill his brother several times. On February 5, 2020, at five in the evening, Shankar Lal had called his brother from home on the pretext of friendship.
Since then his brother's phone got switched off. On February 7, 2020, they came to know that brother Munish was murdered by Shankar Lal along with his brother Aachhu Lal and the body was hidden near a culvert on the highway near village Kachauli in Bithri Chainpur police station area. Police recovered the dead body and filed a murder report.
After investigating the case, the police had collected strong evidence against the accused. District government criminal lawyer Reetram Rajput strongly presented the prosecution's side. After hearing the arguments of both the parties and perusing the file, the court considered that the nature of the crime is extremely serious. DGC Crime Reetram Rajput said that he had demanded strict punishment considering the nature of the crime and the condition of the deceased's family. This decision of the court is a victory of justice.
He was killed by shooting in the chest.
In the second case, Ramesh Singh Yadav, resident of Brahmapur village of Bhamora police station area, had filed a report that on June 24, 2019, his younger brother Jandail Singh had gone to his farm to tie the ram. Vedpal, Surajpal, Daulat Singh, who were already present there, refused to tie the ram and abused his brother.
Vedpal killed his brother by shooting him in the chest from Pauniya. All three also fired at him but he survived. The police had filed a murder report against the three accused. After investigation, the police sent the charge sheet against Vedpal to the court. Special court Gangster Act judge Tabrez Ahmed found Vedpal guilty and sentenced him to life imprisonment.
The court clarified that the fine amount will be handed over to the wife and children of the deceased for their bright future. During the hearing of the case, there was a heated legal debate between the two sides. District government criminal advocate Digambar Patel and Manoj Bajpayee made an effective representation for the prosecution.
He presented seven witnesses and scientific evidence and demanded the harshest punishment for the accused. Advocate Balesh Mishra presented arguments on behalf of the defense side.
