America took this decision an hour after the closure of Iranian airspace. The USS Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group was deployed in the South China Sea to monitor China's activities, but is now on the move. USS Abraham Lincoln may take a week to reach the Middle East.
News Nation's White House correspondent Kelly Meyer reported that the USS Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group is moving from the South China Sea to Central Command (CENTCOM), which covers 21 countries in the Middle East, Northeast Africa, South Asia and Central Asia.

According to the US Navy's official website, the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln is typically accompanied by 3 to 4 guided-missile destroyers, which can conduct air defense, anti-submarine and land-attack operations. There is also a cruiser, which helps in command and control work during operations.
USS Abraham Lincoln is armed with two nuclear attack submarines that can track enemy warships and submarines as well as fire Tomahawk missiles. It carries 7000-8000 soldiers.
Apart from this, one to two support ships like oiler and supply ship also accompany for logistics support. That is, if seen overall, the USS Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group consists of one carrier, 3–6 surface warships, 1–2 submarines and support ships.
