Jagran correspondent, Gorakhpur. Commissioner Anil Dhingra held a meeting of the division level monitoring committee of Atal Residential School Sahajanwan in the Commissioner Auditorium. During the meeting, he directed that wide publicity of the rules and procedure related to admission in classes 8 and 9 in Atal Residential Schools in the academic session 2026-27 should be ensured, so that more and more eligible students can take advantage of this scheme.
He informed that the last date of application for admission in classes 8 and 9 in Atal Residential School for the academic session 2026-27 has been fixed as January 31. Interested candidates can apply through both online and offline medium. He directed the concerned officers to make the application process simple and easy, so that no eligible child is deprived of the opportunity.

The Commissioner also informed that children of workers registered with the Labor Department for at least three years can apply for the entrance examination conducted for admission to classes 6 and 9. Apart from this, children who became destitute during the Corona period will also be eligible for admission in Atal Residential School.
