Jagran correspondent, Agra. The police exposed the theft incident in the copper factory in Runkata of Sikandra area within 24 hours. On Monday night, the police arrested four miscreants in an encounter. A miscreant was injured after being shot in the leg by a police bullet. He has been admitted to the hospital.

Four miscreants who committed theft in copper factory arrested in police encounter, one injured

On Sunday night, thieves entered a copper factory located in Runkata area and stole a large quantity of copper. Police Commissioner Deepak Kumar constituted a special team from Sikandra police station to investigate the matter. The team surrounded the miscreants in Anshal Colony near Attus village on Monday night. The miscreants started firing as soon as they saw the police.

Injured in police firing

Deepak Jharkhandi, resident of KK Nagar, was shot in the leg in retaliatory firing by the police. He was immediately sent to the hospital for first aid. The other three associates, Gaurav, resident of Shivkunj, Sikandra, Amit Verma, resident of KK Nagar and Kanhaiya, resident of the same place, were arrested from the spot. Police have recovered a pistol, two cartridges and about 90 kg of stolen copper from the possession of the miscreants.
