Disturbance in data of 1 lakh beneficiaries of PM Awas Yojana in Banka
Samvad Sutra, Banka. Large scale irregularities are coming to light in the names of people who have been added to the survey list of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin. On the basis of the survey list, different checkers have been deputed in all the Panchayats for verification of the beneficiaries.
Now the data that is being uploaded after verification of beneficiaries by the checker is not matching with the data uploaded by the surveyor. At some places there is a concrete wall and at some places there is a concrete house. The number of such beneficiaries is around one lakh. This means that out of the beneficiaries added in the survey list, the data of about 50 percent of the beneficiaries has not been found correct.
In such a situation, these beneficiaries will be re-verified. For this, checkers will soon be deployed for every Panchayat. Even after this, if there is any problem in the data, then the beneficiaries will be investigated at the BDO level. Only after this the list of beneficiaries will be placed in the general meeting. The final list will be prepared after the general meeting.
In fact, the work of verification of beneficiaries in the district under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) has reached the final stage. According to the report of the District Rural Development Agency, till now the verification of more than two lakh 10 thousand beneficiaries has been completed out of total two lakh 16 thousand 557 beneficiaries.
Separate checkers are deputed for every Panchayat to avail the benefits of Housing Scheme to the eligible beneficiaries. So that the verification work can be done in a correct and transparent manner. The verification work was to be done online by the checker. After which large scale irregularities were found in the data that was uploaded.
DRDA Director Srinivas said that continuous monitoring is being done to ensure that there are no irregularities in the verification. Soon the work of verification of those beneficiaries whose data has been found not correct will begin.
Investigation is being done on these points
Names were added to the list of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in two ways. One was on the basis of survey by the surveyor deputed for the Panchayat and the other was the option of automatic addition by the beneficiary. Verification is now being done on the basis of this list. 22 points for verification have been issued by the department.
22 points have been determined under the guidelines. According to this, the name of the beneficiary, PMAY-G ID number, village or ward number, caste, or whether his family has a permanent house or not is to be verified.
Also, what is the motorized three-wheeler and four-wheeler owned by the beneficiary, what is the monthly income of the family, what is the agricultural and non-agricultural land. Instructions have been given to verify all these points and send the report.
On the basis of the survey list, separate checkers were deputed for each Panchayat. During this period, errors have been found in the data of about one lakh beneficiaries. All these beneficiaries will be re-examined. - Upendra Singh, DDC
