Jagran correspondent, Patiala. Due to mental pressure and alleged threats from police and relatives after a fight with a classmate in a private school located on Nabha Road, 18-year-old 12th class student Rehman Khan drank poisonous spray, due to which he died.
According to the information given by the family, Rehman had gone to school on January 15. Where he had a fight with Ramandeep Singh, resident of Khedi Gaur, a student of the same school, over some issue.
This complaint was given to the police. The relative alleges that after this, people associated with the said student and police personnel started calling Rehman repeatedly and threatening him. Due to threats, Rehman started living in constant fear and stress.
Mohammad Hussain told that on January 16, being mentally disturbed, his son Rehman swallowed poisonous substance at his home. When his condition worsened, he was immediately admitted to Rajindra Hospital.
When his condition became critical there, his relatives took him to a private hospital, where he died during treatment on January 21. After the incident, the relative lodged a complaint in the Civil Lines police station. Police have registered a case against named accused Ramandeep Singh. However, no one has been arrested yet. The relatives have demanded appropriate action.
