There Was Embezzlement Of Rs 75 Lakh In The Chief Minister's Free Treatment Scheme, No Action Is Being Taken Even After Being Found Guilty.

Mohammad Mustafa, Nuh. Even though the state government claims to be free from corruption, there are still such employees and officers in the government who are promoting some corrupt employees of the department. A similar case has come to light from Pingawan CHC. In this, an amount of Rs 75 lakh given by the government for medicines in the name of Chief Minister Free Treatment Scheme was embezzled.

The Health Department formed a committee to investigate the matter for about six months, but the committee made a lot of efforts to suppress the matter by postponing it. Ultimately, the committee formed in its investigation submitted its report to Civil Surgeon Mandikheda, holding the then SMO Gagan Khatana, Yusuf Pharmacist and Prem Singh Accounts Assistant guilty in the investigation.

As per rules, the report was sent to Panchkula for action against doctors involved in corruption. Where even after almost a year has passed, the action against the culprits is not progressing. It is alleged that the culprits have colluded with the officers sitting there, due to which the action is not being completed. In this, the connivance of the babus sitting in Panchkula is also being said.

Let us tell you that about two years ago, in the name of Chief Minister Free Treatment Scheme, a budget of Rs 75 lakh was given by the government to purchase medicines in Pingawan CHC. Instead of purchasing the medicine, the then SMO Gagan Khatana, Pharmacist Yusuf and Prem Singh Accounts Assistant destroyed it. The matter came to light when the people of the area started returning empty handed due to non availability of medicines in Pingawan CHC.

After this, the people of the area complained as well as sought answers through RTI. In which the picture of budget embezzlement case of medicines became clear. After this, a committee was formed by the CMO to investigate the matter. Which kept whitewashing the matter for several months, but when the matter reached the notice of higher officials, the committee had to complete the investigation. In which the said three employees were held guilty. But further action has been put on hold from Panchkula.

The department is protecting the culprits

Officials from the Health Department of Nuh district to Panchkula are engaged in saving the culprits who are embezzling the amount of medicines by throwing dust in the eyes of the government. The lack of action against the culprits even after a year has passed raises questions on the authorities.

Many doctors may be blamed if a thorough investigation is done: People say that if the government investigates the embezzlement case thoroughly, then many other doctors may also be blamed in this case. But instead of taking action, the health department is busy suppressing the matter.

The report of the staff found guilty by the committee has been sent to Panchkula. Further action will be taken from there. The investigation report has been sent from our side for action.
