In the first match of the day, the Indian Under-19 team is facing Bangladesh. In the second match, Sri Lanka Under-19 team is facing Japan.

Sri Lanka's Veeran Chamudita created history in this match. Chamudita scored 192 runs against Japan, which is the highest individual score so far in the history of Under-19 World Cup. With this inning, Sri Lanka made a great start in the tournament.

Chamudita's feat broke the previous record of 191 runs set by Hasith Boyagoda against Kenya in 2018. Chamudita hit 26 fours and one six in her innings. Timothy Moore sent him to the pavilion. Chamudita has played 17 Youth ODIs so far and this was her first century in this format. Before this innings, he had three half-centuries to his name.
