Jagran correspondent, Noida. In preparation to improve the power supply system before summer, Paschimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (PVVNL) has launched a project worth ₹97 crore under its Business Plan 2026. Its objective is to ensure uninterrupted and reliable power supply in the city. This will provide relief to residents and industries from problems like overloading, tripping and power cuts during summer months.

This plan was implemented in December 2025, and it is being claimed that all the work will be completed by March 2026. PVVNL officials say that the survey has been completed. Many works have already started, while the tender process for others is underway. The infrastructure will be upgraded before the start of summer. This will improve the quality and supply of electricity in industrial areas, residential sectors and commercial areas of Noida.

The corporation's aim is that like previous years, there should be no complaints of power cuts this summer, and the increasing demand of the city can be met. This step is also important in making Noida more investment-friendly. PVVNL has focused on six main points under this budget.

Two new 33-11 kV substations will be built at a cost of ₹27 crore. This work has already started. 33 kV lines will also be constructed. It will cost ₹9 crore to increase the capacity of seven 33-11 kV substations. This will eliminate the problem of overloading to a great extent. Nine works related to construction and distribution of 11 kV lines will be carried out at a cost of ₹11 crore. 12 33 kV lines will be strengthened. Strengthening 27 11 kV lines will cost ₹3.30 crore.

Work under the business plan has already started. All these works will be completed by March. The Corporation is continuously monitoring the progress of the works. We are fully committed to improving the power system before the summer. -Vivek Patel, Superintending Engineer, PVVNL
