There Will Be No Water In Many Areas Of Delhi Today And Tomorrow, Store It Now; Water Board Gave The Reason

There will be water shortage in many areas of Delhi for two days.

Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has informed that water supply in western and north-western areas of Delhi will be affected on January 21 and 22 due to flushing of underground reservoirs and booster pumping stations as part of the annual cleaning programme. This cleaning work is part of routine maintenance to maintain good water quality. Residents of the affected areas have been advised to store adequate water in advance.

On January 21, water supply will be affected in the areas around Prem Kunj, while on January 22, many colonies and villages like Nangloi, Ranhola Village, Mohan Garden, Uttam Nagar, Sainik Enclave, Mundka, Paschim Vihar, Hiran Kudna, Rajdhani Park, Mitran Village, Jahangirpuri, Badusarai, Chhawla etc. will be affected.

In these areas, water will come at low pressure or may stop completely. DJB has also issued different helpline numbers area wise, like 8929088540 for Nangloi-Mundka, 18001217744, 9650288663 for Matiala area etc.

People have been advised to store water in advance as per their need. To provide water tanker in emergency, main control room number 1916 (toll free) can be contacted. Tankers can also be called through other regional numbers. The Jal Board has repeatedly expressed regret for the public inconvenience and has appealed for cooperation from the people.
