Thieves Entered Jewelery Shop In Jalandhar By Cutting The Grill Of Skylight, Stole Rs 16 Lakh

Theft worth lakhs in jewelery shop in Jalandhar.

Samvad Sutra, Adampur. Lakhs of rupees were stolen from Lakshmi Jewelers located in Main Bazaar. The thieves committed the crime by cutting the grill of the skylight on the fourth floor. Shop owner Vivek Kapoor told that like every day, he had closed the shop at night.

When Saturday morning came, all the goods inside the shop were scattered. The thieves also stole silver ornaments kept in the showcase of the shop and two and a half tola gold ornaments made by people. He told that the shutters outside the shop were locked.

The thieves entered inside by cutting the grill of the skylight on the fourth floor. About six to seven kilos of silver and other gold ornaments were stolen from the shop. The thieves made away with goods worth a total of Rs 15 to 16 lakh. Apart from this, the thieves have also taken with them the DVRs of the CCTV cameras installed inside the shop.

This incident was informed to Adampur police, after which the police party including station head Ravinder Pal reached the spot and started investigation. Station head said that CCTV footage installed nearby is being scrutinized and the thieves will be arrested soon.
