Maulana Mufti Shahabuddin Razvi
Jagran correspondent, Bareilly. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar tried to forcibly remove the hijab from the face of a burqa-clad Muslim woman who had come to collect the joining letter for the job. On this, National President of All India Muslim Jamaat, Maulana Mufti Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi expressed his sharp reaction.
He said that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has insulted a Muslim woman, he should apologize to the Muslim community. Maulana said that tampering or insulting religious identity is not acceptable under any circumstances.
Hijab is not someone's fashion, but a belief and right. No one has the right to touch it. Nitish Kumar forcefully pulled the niqab of the Muslim woman with his hands. This is against the dignity of a person holding a constitutional post.
Maulana further said that the Constitution has given permission to every person to eat food as per his wish and wear clothes as per his choice. There is strong resentment among the Muslims of India due to his action.
