Digital Desk, New Delhi. Bangladesh is once again burning in the fire of violence. Minority Hindus are being targeted in Bangladesh. Two Hindu civilians have been murdered in Dhaka. Meanwhile, Congress leader Rashid Alvi has said something, which can create a political storm in India.
The Congress MP has condemned the violence against Hindu minorities in Bangladesh. He said that Bangladesh government is responsible for this. He also said that the Indian government's statement will not make any difference and alleged that minority communities are facing atrocities in India too.
What did the Congress leaders say?
Congress leader and former Rajya Sabha MP Rashid Alvi said that what is happening in Bangladesh is definitely condemnable and unfortunate. Bangladesh government is responsible for this. However, the statements of the Indian government will not make any difference. Even in India, atrocities are being committed against minority communities.
However, senior Congress party leader Salman Khurshid distanced himself from Rashid Alvi's statement. When Khurshid was questioned in this regard, he said that atrocities should not be compared. Any atrocities against anyone anywhere are unacceptable. We believe in the Constitution of democracy; Torture against anyone is unacceptable.
At the same time, Congress leader Alka Lamba stressed that minorities should get security, be it Bangladesh or India. Lamba said that whatever has happened in this matter in Bangladesh, we have criticized it. (Whether) it is Bangladesh or India, there is a duty to protect minorities.
