Jagran correspondent, Shahjahanpur. Three people including a gangster from Bareilly were arrested by SOG and Roja police. He has confessed to theft at many places including the bullion shop in front of Sindhauli police station.
22 FIRs have been registered against the gangster. The police have also recovered all the items including stolen jewellery. Nitin Gupta, resident of Gandhinagar Colony, Bijlipura locality of the city, has a bullion shop in front of the police station in Sindhauli.
On the night of 16 December, thieves uprooted the shutter of the shop from the side and stole jewelery worth lakhs of rupees along with cash. Whereas in three other shops also an attempt was made to steal by breaking the shutters.
SP Rajesh Dwivedi had also deployed SOG to catch the thieves. Whereas on December 18, masked thieves stole 89 boxes of liquor from a country liquor shop located in Mukarrampur in Roza area. In this case, the FIR was lodged by shop accountant Rishabh Jaiswal, resident of Sandila in Hardoi district.
On Saturday night, SOG and Roza police arrested three people from the route from Mukarrampur to Udiapur. Which includes Ravindra, resident of Dhanaura village of Bhamora area of Bareilly, Mohammad Shahnoor and Aris, resident of Hathora village of Roza area.
22 FIRs including robbery, theft and attempt to murder are registered against Ravindra. Sadar police had also taken gangster action against him. Police have recovered 2100 pav of country liquor, one baitra, jewelery and other items stolen from a bullion shop in Sindhauli from the accused.
Contact was made in jail
Gangster Ravindra had contact with these two accused in jail. After being released from jail, all three started committing other crimes including theft together.
SOG and Roja police have exposed the incidents of theft. All the items including jewelery have also been recovered.
